Local First Arizona and O.H.S.O. Brewery + Distillery Debut New Beer October 25
PHOENIX (Oct. 7, 2025) — Local First Arizona announced a partnership with O.H.S.O., the well-established local craft brewery, distillery and restaurant group, to create a limited edition beer to showcase delicious local ingredients and hometown pride. The Sonoran Sipper is a cream ale with hibiscus lime zest featuring a variety of locally sourced ingredients.

Not even the August heat in Phoenix could stop a score of small business owners from gathering in the Burton Barr Library community room on August 14, 2025. They weren’t there to sell or pitch a new product—but to confront a challenge larger than any one enterprise: climate change. PHOENIX (July 24, 2025) — Climate change threatens the health and well-being of all Americans, but the effects are felt unevenly. The most vulnerable neighborhoods and communities are often excluded from resilience efforts and the benefits of green investment. Local First Arizona and the City of Tucson Office of Resilience have partnered with the Urban Institute’s Transformative Climate Action in American Cities (TCA) project to help disrupt the climate status quo in Tucson.
USDA Cuts Funding to Southwest Regional Food Business Center, Incapacitating Small and Mid-Size Food and Farm Businesses in Arizona
PHOENIX (July 18, 2025) — This week, the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins announced the termination of 12 Regional Food Business Centers (RFBC), crippling small and mid-sized farmers across the country. As part of the national initiative, the Southwest Regional Food Business Center (SWRFBC) was created to accelerate a resilient, diverse and competitive local and regional food system by improving opportunities for small and mid-size food and farm businesses across a four-state region of Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah.
