Local First Arizona requests applications to support Northern Arizona workforce trainees
Local First Arizona Foundation has now opened a request for grant funds applications evelop and deliver a Medical Assistant Accelerator program, capable of reaching remote trainees and employers operating within the five-county region of the Northern Arizona Good Jobs Network.
The deadline for submission of an application has been extended from on or before 5:00 p.m. on or before Wednesday, November 5, 2025 to on or before Monday, November 17, 2025.
The Northern Arizona Good Jobs Network is a federally funded collaboration across a five-county area to develop training-to-employment programs for in-demand occupations, with a focus on recruiting participants from vulnerable and underserved populations. Local First Arizona serves as the system lead entity in the work, with design and implementation of programs carried out by an extensive network of community colleges, local government, community-based organizations and economic development groups.
The entity selected through this competitive request for applications process will join the network to develop and deliver a Medical Assistant Accelerator Program capable of serving the most rural trainees in the process of completing a Medical Assistant curriculum in alignment with CCMA standards, connecting those trainees with rural healthcare employers, and providing support to those employers.

Interested parties must submit their proposals online via the following form by 5 p.m. Arizona time on or before Monday, Nov 17, 2025. No late submittals will be considered. Local First Arizona reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive any irregularities, and accept the proposals that are in the best interest of the northern Arizona community and are in accordance with the requirements of the American Rescue Plan Act.
