Food, Futures, and Regeneration: The Urban Forest Project Lays Down Roots in Tucson
A locally-owned social enterprise in Tucson has launched the Urban Forest Project, providing sustainable, low-income housing for those experiencing situational poverty. Harris Fletcher Enterprises recently engaged the community in the planting of a food forest on site which will produce healthy food, shade for cooling, and capacity building in permaculture, food processing, job skills, and mindfulness. August 2021 Certified Green Businesses
This summer has brought a much-needed monsoon season to quench our parched ecosystems and communities across the state. Luckily, more and more businesses across the state have made conserving water and other sustainable practices a part of the way they do business.
