Arizona Good Business Summit Returns In-Person at Tempe Center for the Arts

Local First Arizona to bring its annual Good Business Summit to Tempe where
businesses will gather to create solutions for building a stronger community.

PHOENIX (February 17, 2022) — After a compelling virtual experience in 2021, Local First Arizona looks forward to bringing 250 business leaders together in person on April 5 at Tempe Center for the Arts for this pioneering event – the Arizona Good Business Summit..

The summit brings together businesses and community leaders to discuss the dynamics and complexity of doing business in today’s world. Attendees will connect and build relationships with other like-minded business leaders in the community who also strive to build a better Arizona. Attendees will be inspired to move conversations forward into action and build meaningful relationships with others.

This year’s event lands in Tempe, where the city's non-discrimination ordinance for LGBTQ workers and green business certification program show significant alignment with Local First Arizona and the Good Business Summit as well as supporting small, local businesses. Participants will also learn about Tempe’s new initiatives to prioritize small businesses, advance equity and connect people together.

“Tempe’s locally-owned businesses not only bring flavor and a unique vibe to our community, they are valued employers, committed advocates and passionately-involved residents,” says Tempe Mayor Corey Woods. “We appreciate their contributions to Tempe. We also appreciate Local First Arizona for its role in bringing businesses together to connect, learn from each other and strategize their future successes.”

Kimber Lanning, CEO of Local First Arizona mentions how “now more than ever, it’s critical that businesses in Arizona commit to recognizing their community as a stakeholder. This summit continues to act as a true convening of leaders who choose to prioritize building a better Arizona through doing good business together.”

The summit features a wide variety of workshops, business training, panel discussions, networking opportunities and presentations from guests and keynote speakers including; Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, Adam Goodman from Goodmans Interior Structures, Angela Hughey from ONE Community and Derek Peebles with the American Independent Business Alliance.
