WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO

SCALE UP (Sustainable Communities Accessing Lending and Expertise Upon Performance) is an award-winning program that helps locally-owned businesses in the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas:

  1. LEARN about sustainability, tracking and actions they can take as a business

  2. COLLABORATE and network with other like-minded businesses

  3. PLAN for specific sustainability projects that have an equity component and, in many cases, also save money

  4. FINANCE projects if needed through our low-interest revolving loan fund (currently only open to businesses in Tucson AZ but likely to be expanded soon)

  5. IMPLEMENT projects, get recognition and gain extra benefits for showing a successful reduction in energy, water, waste and/or transportation emissions

  6. GET RECOGNIZED for your efforts through social media promotions and recommendations

SCALE UP SUCCESS STORY

Donna DiFiore, Owner of Delectables Catering & Venue in Tucson AZ and a graduate of SCALE UP 2018, successfully:

● Reduced heat generated and cooling needed to maintain a comfortable space

● Reduced utility costs, particularly water and energy

● Increased awareness of property needs and common areas requiring repair

“At the end of every class, I always felt that I had received excellent value. Each week I walked away with knowledge and felt there was hope for change working with businesses making changes for the better . I still use my SCALE UP  binder as a reference book. I made significant investments in my home and business with ‘green’ improvements.”
