Kingman
No community quite says Route 66 in Arizona like this quaint, yet bustling city. Start your trip with a visit to the peaceful Hualapai Mountain Resort for a lunch in the mountains. Don’t forget to grab a drink at either Kingman wineries, breweries such as Rickety Cricket, and of course, their distillery, Desert Diamond. Check out our Kingman Community Profile when planning your adventure for more.
Day 2 Caverns in Peach Springs, souvenirs at Route 66 Relics and rest easy at the WigWam Motel
One of the highlights of a road trip is having the opportunity to discover the places many people look over: the Giganticus Headicus in Antares or the Hackberry General Store (one of your stamps!) filled with goods and Route 66 mementos since 1935. Stop by Valentine to catch a glimpse of the historic Schoolhouse at Truxton Canyon.
Peach Springs
The Grand Canyon Caverns located in Peach Springs offers truly unique opportunities to enjoy a cave. Whether you tour the cavern or take the opportunity to stay the night and dine in, adventure awaits. If you want to keep exploring Peach Springs, stop by the Hualapai Melt or Hualapai Taco for a treat.

Williams is known as the gateway to Grand Canyon National Park. Take a train ride into the Grand Canyon, or flyover this charming town with Route 66 Zipline, and visit the renowned Bearizona for a drive-thru safari of wolves, bears, bison, mountain goats & more. Grab lunch at Cruisers Route 66 cafe then load up on coffee at Brewed Awakenings before hitting the mother road once again.
Flagstaff & Twin Arrows
Flagstaff’s unique local businesses are here to impress. Grab coffee at Late for the Train to get started and next we recommend going to the Pioneer Museum to explore the historical development of the community and region. When you get hungry, stop by Shift (award winning restaurant you usually taste at Devour) for breakfast, happy hour, or dinner. Remember to stop by the Flagstaff Visitor Center if you are looking for a full local’s list of places to visit and get a stamp! Head to Twin Arrows, just outside of Flagstaff, for the ultimate Route 66 photo.

Winslow’s claim to fame is its Standing on the Corner Park that was inspired by the Eagles’ hit song ‘Take It Easy’. So while you’re “a-standin' on the corner in Winslow, Arizona” include a visit to the Motor Palace Mercantile, enjoy fine dining at the Turquoise Room, and a breathtaking visit to Clear Creek.
