Drink Me! Tea Room is a modern take on traditional Afternoon Tea. We offer plant-based, gluten-free and allergy friendly sweets and savories accompanied by premium organic tea and hand crafted cocktails. We focus on providing an unforgettable customer experience with attention paid to all the little details.
We were recently presented with our Green Business Certification from the Tempe City Council and Local First Arizona. We were recognized for our outstanding efforts incorporating sustainability practices into our operations with a commitment to reduce waste, conserve energy and water, prevent pollution, and protect Arizona’s natural resources.
We have undergone a rigorous sustainability audit and created a sustainability pledge document with all the ways we are committed to creating a sustainable environment at our tea room. Being an organic & plant based establishment, we reduce our carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste. We maintain policies and practices for the efficient use of energy, water and natural resource consumption.

In 2019, Melissa H. was in London with her family taking in the sites, and taking in even more Afternoon Tea Services. With all the corporate craziness, of her job, thousands of miles away, Melissa was able to genuinely enjoy and immerse herself in the delights of High Tea. She loved her experience so much that she found herself crafting a Tea Room business plan on her flight home, in hopes of sharing the magic with fellow Arizonans.
In the Summer of 2020, with inspiration from her favorite book, Alice in Wonderland, Melissa opened a Gluten-Free, Plant-Based, Afternoon Tea Room where guests enjoy allergen-friendly chef confections, organic teas, and local spirits to celebrate and escape their own corporate craziness. As someone who lives with food allergies, it was extremely important to Melissa to ensure that there was a place that anyone could visit and to be able to enjoy all the treats of an afternoon tea without the worry.
Over her career, Melissa worked for some of the top companies known for their customer experience, including Disney, Southwest Airlines and Verizon. She knows how important attention to detail is in creating an outstanding and unforgettable experience. Now retired from spreadsheets and head counts, Melissa puts all her detail-focused talent into ensuring guests have an amazingly immersive time with premium tea, wonderful treats and hand-crafted cocktails in collaboration with local Tempe distilleries, Wild Hare & Arizona Distilling Co.
