Cinco de Mayo Street Fair & Car Show in South Phoenix is a free community event with vendors, entertainment, food, community, dancing and Lowriders. Join us Sunday May 1st The event is held on Central Ave & Lynne thru 2nd Ave the street between South Plaza and St Catherine's. Cinco de Mayo became a major Mexican American holiday because of Chicano activists in the 1960s. They saw Cinco de Mayo as a way to encourage Mexican Americans to celebrate their heritage. We take this opportunity to continue that tradition in 2022 in the very unique South Phoenix community. Brought to you by Old School City located inside the historic South Plaza since 1980. Come out and enjoy the evening.
