Getting To Know the Vendors at the 6th Street Market
The 6th Street Market is your premier Sunday destination for unique art, handmade goods and scrumptious food.
Every week, the 6th Street Market strives to bring an assortment one-of-a-kind local vendors ranging from art to home goods to food. There is sure to be something to catch your eye, quench your thirst or satisfy a craving.
Throughout this entire season, we’ve hosted some awe-inspiring vendors that all have their own, unique flair. All of our vendors have a passion for their handmade work and it really shows in their products. As this season moves on, we want to highlight two amazing vendors that really embody the spirit of the 6th Street Market.
Pura Vida Grinds is a market staple. Every week, they serve up their signature drinks to market goers and add to the fun and relaxing atmosphere of the 6th Street Market.
“I love the locality of downtown Tempe,” Angela Vanette, owner of Pura Vida Grinds, said. “We are consistent and love being centrally located.”
Angela also shares that Downtown Tempe has so much do, in addition to the 6th Street Market. She mentioned “A” Mountain, Mill Ave., the art, Tempe Beach Park are great assets to Downtown Tempe and for their business when they come to the 6th Street Market.
The coffee truck has been at the 6th Street Market for almost 3 seasons and continues to be a draw for a lot of market attendees.
“The biggest compliment we can get is when one of the market guests say they came specifically for our coffee,” Angela said. “There is no other feeling like it.”
Angela’s husband, Roberto (better known as Lobo), is always busy making his smooth, tasty coffee in the back of their sloth covered coffee truck. They own the coffee truck as a couple, and are even raising their family around the business. Angela and Lobo are known to bring their adorable baby to the markets and play in the grass near where their truck is parked.
“I enjoy making coffee every day,” Lobo said. “It’s what I enjoy and I want to keeping do it.”
Lobo is from Costa Rica and decided to bring some Costa Rican flair to the Valley and share it with the public. The coffee they serve is a smooth blend imported from Costa Rica and we can attest, it’s simply delicious. Pura Vida Grinds can be found at the 6th Street Market every Sunday. (BONUS: They will also be back next season.)
