Los bancos comunitarios defienden el espíritu empresarial local y son responsables de más de la mitad de todos los préstamos para pequeñas empresas en la nación, según el Instituto de Autosuficiencia Local.

Por otro lado, los grandes bancos distribuyeron solo el 17% de los fondos de su Programa de Protección de Nómina a empresas locales.

'Banking While Black': Free Art Exhibit in Metro Phoenix Explores Racism. How to See it
