Grant Basics: Organizational Accounting & Finance for Grant Readiness

This workshop, presented by the Local First Arizona Economic Resource Center introduces key financial practices, including tracking expenses, managing restricted funds, and preparing for grant reporting requirements. Participants will gain practical guidance for building financial systems that support grant compliance and organizational stability.
About the Presenter:
Maddy Bynes is the founder of Bynes Consulting Group, where she supports non-profits with public policy, advocacy, fundraising, grant writing, and organizational strategy. She brings more than a decade of experience across non-profit, government, and community-based roles, with a focus on health and human services, healthcare policy, systems change, coalition building, and program development. Maddy holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arizona and has been recognized with Tucson’s 40 Under 40 and multiple USAging awards.
