PHOENIX

Phoenix Center for the Arts Summer Camp Extravaganza!
Location: Phoenix Center For The Arts, 1202 N 3rd St., Phoenix
Dates
: Session 1: June 3 to 21; Session 2: June 24 to July 12 (no class July 4); Session 3: July 15 to August 2
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $450 per session
Ages: 5 – 15
We think it’s the most fun and comprehensive summer arts camp around. In each 3-week session, children will receive professional instruction in Music, Dance, Theatre, Creative Writing, and Visual Arts! Amazing Arizona Summer Program
Location: Pueblo Grande Museum (4619 E Washington St, Phoenix) & Rosson House (115 N 6th St, Phoenix)
Dates
: Session 1: June 17-21; Session 2: June 24-28; Session 3: July 8-12; Session 4: July 15-19
Time
: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $200 per session (early bird special: $175 per session before May 31!)
Ages: 6 – 13
Pueblo Grande Museum and the Rosson House are partnering again to offer summer programs for children. This year’s program will be hosted at both sites and cover both the prehistoric and historic cultures of Arizona, as well as the science of archaeology we use to learn about them. Children can “race” through time during the camps collecting different stamps and stickers in their Amazing Arizona Passports for each of the different skills, crafts, and projects they complete. Hubbard Sports Camp with Hubbard Family Swim Schools
Location: 7 locations around the Valley
Dates: Weekly sessions offered May 28 – August 9
Time: Full day: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Half day: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: Full day: $215 per child, $205 per additional child; Half day: $160 per child, $150 per additional child (except at Scottsdale Rancho Solano’s location: Full day: $250; Half day: $180)
Ages: 4 1/2 – 13
When the kids are off from school for summer break, Hubbard Sports Camp will offer fun, weekly sessions at 7 camp locations around the Valley to give children an excellent chance to learn and play a wide variety of sports such as: soccer, basketball, volleyball, baseball, archery, swimming, dodge ball, field sports, and many other indoor and outdoor games and activities. Arizona Sunrays Gymnastics SUPERCAMP
Location: 3110 E. Thunderbird Road, Phoenix
Dates: Weeklong sessions available beginning May 20 through August 23
Time: Full Day: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Half Day: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Cost: Weeklong Session: $250 for Full Day / $170 for Half Day; Individual Days: $50 for Full Day / $35 for Half Day
Ages: 3 – 13

Kids & Teens Summer Climbing Camps
Location: AZ on the Rocks, 16447 N. 91st St #105, Scottsdale
Dates: Weekly sessions beginning June 3 through August 2
Time: Half Day: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; Full Day: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: Half Day: $275 per session; Full Day: $325 per session
Ages: 6-12

Camp Zoo
Location: Phoenix Zoo, 455 North Galvin Parkway Phoenix,
Dates: Weekly sessions beginning June 3 through July 26
Time: Full Day: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.; Half Day 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: Full Day: $200 for members/$220 for nonmembers; Half Day: $125 for members/$135 for nonmembers
Ages: Kindergarten to 8th Grade
Children will have fascinating adventures with the natural world this summer at Camp Zoo. Each age-appropriate, weeklong session is filled with up-close animal encounters, hands-on activities, games, in depth investigations, and organized free-time. During the mornings, we’ll take advantage of the cooler temperatures and participate in outdoor activities such as water-play and hiking. Summer Camp with the Arizona Humane Society
Location: Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 W. Dobbins Rd., Phoenix

Arizona Youth Sports Leagues Indoor Summer Camp
Location: Peoria SportsPlex, 16083, N 75th Avenue, Peoria
Dates: Weekly sessions starting June 3 through August 9
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (early drop off & pick up available)
Cost: Full Day: $95 per week; Half Day: $60 per week
Ages: 5 – 12
The focus of our summer sports camp is to build your child’s confidence and character while they improve their skills in 8 core sports: soccer, football, baseball, basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, dodgeball, and kickball. Summer Baseball Bootcamps

Dates: Various sessions available June 6 through July 31
Times: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: $250 per bootcamp (or 2 kids for $400). 10% savings if you register before May 15!
Ages: 11 and up
Specialized three day boot camps offer skill instruction and training for serious players ages 11 and up. Deer Valley Rock Art Center Summer Camps
Location: Deer Valley Rock Art Center, 3711 W. Deer Valley Road, Phoenix
Dates: Session I: June 3 – June 7; Session II: June 17 – June 21

Cost: $120 for members per session, $140 for non members
Ages: 8 – 11
The Deer Valley Rock Art Center offers an action-packed summer camp at a real archaeological site and desert nature preserve. Campers learn about archaeology, cultural anthropology, American Indian cultural traditions, desert ecology and animals through hands-on educational activities, archaeological fieldwork and demonstrations, art projects, nature hikes, storytelling and games. Brelby Theatre Summer Theatre Camps
Location: Brelby Theatre Company
Dates: June 10 – 28
Time:  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; mini session 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $220 per session; $75 for mini session
Ages: 3rd Grade – 8th Grade; mini session available for children 5 – 8 years old
Our half day theatre camps embrace the collaborative process of theatre. Our students will focus on acting and performance skills within the theme of our session, as well as help to develop communication skills and focus on teamwork. Week-Long Summer Camps at The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures

Arizona Theatre Company’s Summer On Stage & Summer Backstage
Location: University of Arizona in the School of Theatre, Film and Television facilities
Dates: June 24 – July 26
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Cost: Summer On Stage: $850 for regular registration due by May 31 (then $1,000 by June 14); Summer Backstage: $250 by May 31
Ages: 9th – 12th grade
Summer on Stage is a five-week intensive training program that culminates in two productions, a play and a musical, performed on the main stage at the Temple of Music and Art. Summer Backstage participants will be mentored by ATC staff and guest artists in additional in-depth and hands-on workshop sessions that will prepare them to assist in the build and load-in of our set, as well as for a spot on the backstage crews for our two productions. Click here for more info and registration information.


Summer Drummer Camp
Location: Drum & Drummer School of Percussion, Tucson

Ages: 6 – 9; 6th Grade – 12th Grade

Tucson Clay Co-op Interactive Summer Clay Camp
Location: Tucson Clay Co-Op, 3326 N. Dodge Blvd., Tucson

Cost: $108 per session
Ages: 6 – 12
