Local First AZ & Junior Achievement Partner to Bring Local Food to Students

Please join us for the launch of the Local First Arizona simulated Farmer’s Market inside Junior Achievement’s BizTown! This is a great new program for 5th and 6th graders to learn about healthy food choices, farming, and entrepreneurship.

Join Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, Local First Arizona Director Kimber Lanning, Junior Achievement Director Joyce Richards, and Junior Achievement Executive Committee Member Iain Hamp for a launch party celebration for this exciting new endeavor.

    Erica, I am so sorry I missed this email & the launch!!!! Is this going to be an ongoing or was it just this one time? What a great exercise for our future leaders.

    Hi Lynn! The launch was a one-time event, but the LFA-sponsored simulated farmers market will be ongoing for JA participants. It is a great tool for the young people in the program!
