Holiday events in Tucson

There are some great events in Tucson this week with lots of chances to pick up local gifts and hang out with some great people!

Buy Local Week started with a bang with many members reporting good traffic and strong sales on Buy Local Day (Black Friday) and Small Business Saturday. Local news coverage continues to highlight the importance and benefits of shopping locally. Let’s keep the momentum going with promotions and events now through the holiday season! Give Local, Get Love (December 1) is a benefit event put together by Yelp and hosted by MAST from 6 to 8 pm at 299 S Park Avenue. $5 suggested donation for LFA gets you into a fabulous fun event with snacks and sips, kids crafts, a photo booth, shoe shining, quill pen demonstrations, a chance to win one of several great prizes donated by Local First member businesses and more.

Crizmac Holiday Open House (December 1-4) begins with an opening reception Thursday from 5 to 8:30 pm. Open house continues Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm and includes demonstrations by Oaxacan Woodcarver, Agustin Prudencio, and great gifts celebrating Arizona’s Centennial. Crizmac Marketplace, 1642 N Alvernon Way. Crizmac donates a portion of the proceeds from the open house to the Community Food Bank.

Christmas in the Barn (December 3) is a free annual event at Square Top Ranch from 9 am to 5 pm which includes a locally catered lunch for purchase, Sonoita wines to try and buy, local vendors and weaving demonstrations.
