La Grande Orange Grocery is an organic coffee / breakfast bar, café, pizzeria, and a funky ‘retail grocery.’ La Grande Orange was born in what was once a vast sea of orange groves in the heart of Phoenix. In the 30s, it was well known that Arizona’s young and spirited would park their cars in a large circle with their headlights on and dance to the tunes of Benny Goodman and Count Basie. Inspired by that memory, owner, Bob Lynn pays reverence in the restaurant to those good times, positive vibrations, and winning spirit. The food is simple and clean with no hidden ingredients – honest and organic when possible. La Grande Orange Grocery opens daily at 6:30 am. The pizza ovens start at 4 pm Monday through Thursday and Friday through Sunday at 11 am.
